Nice and Nicely Done

At the Green Ranger's request...

Man I suck at making journal posts. I try to make them eloquent and clever, filled with witty quips and frivolous persiflage, with the sole purpose of getting a good laugh out of my comrades, but I fail every time and delete them after about 10 minutes of typing..... Why the hell am I talking.

Look here:
In the past month-ish, events worthy of journal posts have been happening.

Thus, a list of "Who'd've Thoughts"...
-Who'd've thought that I would join Sombreroland, rehashed into a pop band called Astronomy Club who actually writes good music, and travel to Philadelphia for a most unforgettable experience?
-Who'd've thought that I would become amazing friends with the resplendent Rachel Buff?
-Who'd've thought that I would finally get the chance to really indulge myself in my hidden affection for English........... ?!?!??!  Isnt that LAME??????  Man I am a fag-got.
-Who'd've thought that my parents would be perpetually understanding about all of my school situations, really accept the fact that Greenville Tech bent me over, and encourage me to continue?
-Who'd've thought that me and Isaac Calvage would become bff's, even if only out of contempt for the rest of our band?  Just kidding rest of our band.
-Who'd've thought that I would finally go to a real doctor to figure out why the hell im sick all the time? I can't voice how freaking exciting this is. The idea of having closure about what causes my illness blows my mind.
-Who'd've thought that my ex-girlfriend's next boyfriend would be named Stuart? Creeeepyyyyyy!!!
-Who'd've thought that my parents, on an arbitrary whim of good grace, would take my record player to a shop to be restored to its original working order and buy me a new needle?  I don't know if it's really a good thing that they want to support my obsessive record collecting.... but it's freakin cool either way.
-Who'd've thought that my 19 year old bonds would mature to a total of 1,200 dollars, allowing me to pay off all debts to my parents (900 dollars), get an oil change (after driving 5,000 miles past my limit), and buy a new phone?
-Who'd've thought that I would use 8 thousand double contractions in a journal post?

BALLS

In other news:
-Friday night I played a show with some guys from church.  While downtown, a young gentleman named Ron told me all about a Pyramid Scheme with which he's associated.  He was a really nice fella, and ultimately I gave him my number, which may or may not have been a good idea, but I dont mind.  He called me while I was at work yesterday.  I have yet to call him back...
-Astronomy Club is opening for The US Bombs and WHEATUS on May 24th at Ground Zero.  You guys have to come to this.  Because it's freakin WHEATUS.  They may not be very good, but you will have the invaluable power to say that you saw Wheatus.
-An Apple store is opening next to Quiznos.  How whack is that?  I dont even use Apple Products and I'm Excited.
-I have a paper due two days ago which I have yet to start and really have no intention of starting. Ever.
-I got a new phone and I still need people's numbers.  For those of you who missed it, I dropped my cherished compact mirror phone into lake Hartwell (I think), never to be seen again.
-Genesis is still my favorite band and I still don't care how ridiculous that is.

Sorry I wrote like an idiot that whole time.  I'm all sorts of tired, anxious, and ANTACID.  Schools out in like...... 2 weeks.  ish.  I only have one exam.  Awesome.

For old times sake, and since its been so long, here's Wham and a kitten:

Go listen to the Spinto Band.  It will change your life.

at 10:30 last night my car broke down on mauldin road.  i couldnt get it in the median or the grass because i was going up hill so i had to park in the right lane and put on my hazards.  it was about a 10 minute walk from max's house.  so i called max and he got down there in about 15 minutes, and we tried to push my car up, but we had no traction because the sky was hurling very cold rain at us.  we sat in my car and hoped someone would come along so i didnt have to deal with getting towed.  a lady parked in the median and said she would push my car up on the curb from behind, so she drove off to turn around and we never saw her again.  5 minutes later a nice fella in a truck did what the lady said she would, so we got it up on the grass pretty easily.  walking back to max's house was so painful.  it was so cold, and we were wet from drizzle, but then we both got soaked when two 18-wheelers flew past us.  when we got to max's we made hot cocoa and put all our clothes in the dryer (ill leave the rest to your imagination.)  we left the car there until 1am when taylor took me to see if it would start, and then at 4am to do the same thing.  it worked neither time.  nor did it work at 11am.  i called a towing service and while we waited on their arrival, max and i both fell asleep in my car to the soothing sounds of peter gabriels first album.  when they arrived, max went home and i hung out with a classy southern married towtruck driving couple.  it was quite the experience.  i really loved it, though.  im just glad neither of us are sick now.

so my cars in the shop and if its not fixed tomorrow, it wont be looked at until monday.  bloddy convenitently, my sister is out of town for the week and her car rests peacefully at the bottom of my driveway.  naturally, i would call and ask her if i used it, but when i called my mother last night to inform her of the incident with my car, she insisted that i would not use my sisters car unless in the case of emergency.  cute mother.

anyway, no mercy for the man if he want it

no mercy for the man if he..... neeeed it........................

this is long overdue:

initially i was just going to post a picture of sting, because when is a picture of sting not overdue, but then i saw sting and phantom planet......  hahahahaha.  too bad its not april.

i got medulla today.  oh bjork.  i want to own you.  ?

well, im trying to write songs.  and papers.  and figure out exactly what i want to do.  what i want to sound like.  what i want to say.  i have somewhat of a soapbox now.  a pretty big one.  it'll get smaller.  i hate to be vague.  but i have to.  haha, im sure no one cares enough to wonder why though.  once all of these pent up ideas are released i am going to feel amaaaaazing.  gosh.  theyre showing themselves slowly.  its been... i think 4 years of thoughts and ideas that ive never gotten out.  now they have to.

heres some inspiration.  make sure you scroll to the bottom and watch the video.  your mind will slip away into nothingness.

i post too much.  i actually have things to say these days, but then im never good at saying them, or im not allowed to, but no one cares anyway, and neither do i?  oh well.

my papers on music therapy.  its interesting.  but papers.... they take the fun out of things.

there is so much uncertainty right now.  in everything.  but i like it.  most of the time.

this album makes me think of summer.  good summer.  its late and im loud and its bright in here, and i just love it.  i miss max and rico and taylor and scrabble and frosties and ronnie laws and perkins and hawr hawr hawr this is done.

thanks for stayin up late with me tonight, its much appreciated.
